يحصل محمد الشناوي حارس مرمى الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي على الحقنة الثانية من البلازما مساء اليوم، وذلك ضمن برنامجه العلاجي والتأهيلي.

واستأنف الأهلي تدريباته مساء اليوم الأربعاء على ملعب التتش بالجزيرة، وذلك في إطار الاستعدادات لمباراة الحرس الوطني المقرر إقامتها في السادسة مساء السبت على ملعب الأهلي we السلام، وذلك في إياب دور الـ32 بدوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وكان الشناوي قد خضع لجرعة أولى من حقن البلازما خلال الفترة الماضية التي تساعد في التئام التمزق العضلي الذي تعرض له اللاعب.

وخضع الشناوي لأشعة جديدة صباح اليوم الأربعاء أثبتت تحسن حالة اللاعب المصاب بتمزق في العضلة الخلفية.

وقال أحمد أبو عبلة، طبيب الفريق في تصريحات للموقع الرسمي، إن الأشعة التي أجراها الشناوي أثبتت التئام التمزق بنسبة تصل إلى 60%، وهو أمر جيد يشير إلى تحسن حالة اللاعب.

وأوضح أبو عبلة أن الشناوي يقوم بتنفيذ برنامج استشفائي وتدريبات علاج طبيعي خلال الفترة الحالية حتى يتعافى تمامًا من الإصابة، تمهيدًا للعودة للمشاركة في التدريبات وفقًا للمدة الزمنية المحددة له من البداية.

وكان الشناوي قد تعرض لإصابة بتمزق في العضلة الخلفية أثناء مشاركته مع منتخب مصر في مباراة ليبيا الأخيرة في التصفيات المؤهلة لكأس العالم.

The Premier League have had more pressure piled onto them to give answers on the failed takeover of Newcastle United as thousands of letters have been sent to local MP’s urging them to write to the top flight and its chief executive Richard Masters.

Indeed, this adds to the pressure that he has been put under this week, including a petition signed by over 70,000 members of the Toon Army demanding for the CEO of England’s highest division to come out and give an explanation as to why the EPL was taking so long to make their final decision.

A link has been created by the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) and shared on social media to show how supporters of the Tyneside club can write to their own local MP asking for transparency from the Premier League, which has now generated thousands of letters.

Some MP’s have already replied to these fans, and others like Labour MP Emma Lewell-Buck for South Shields have also acknowledged requests from several members of the Toon Army.

Indeed, the pressure is building and building on the top flight and its chief executive Masters to come out and give an explanation for the lengthily process, which essentially caused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian (KSA) group to cut the wire on their own £300 million deal with Mike Ashley.

With the new 2020/21 season fast approaching, coupled up with the added fact that the summer transfer window has officially opened, perhaps this was an unsurprising move.

Nevertheless, England’s highest division are now under more pressure than ever before to give answers, as the Magpies continue to demand for them to be given.

Newcastle United are reportedly said to be rivalling fellow Premier League teams Aston Villa, Fulham and West Ham United for Juventus ace Gonzalo Higuain, according to Calcio Mercato.

As per the outlet, Andrea Pirlo does not see the former Chelsea man in his plans for the new 2020/21 season and is thus keen to offload him in the summer transfer window.

The Italian giants are currently looking at the possibility of terminating his contract, or as an alternative trying to find a suitable buyer, with plenty of suitors in the top flight, however Higuain is not thought to be keen on moving to any of them.

Nevertheless, Steve Bruce could look to try and persuade him to move to St. James’ Park given his pedigree in the beautiful game.

Higuain has scored a rather impressive 306 goals in his club career so far, playing for the likes of Real Madrid, SSC Napoli and AC Milan, with a further 31 strikes while playing for Argentina, giving him a grand total of 337 goals.

However, the 32-year old did not enjoy the best of seasons while playing under Italian coach Maurizio Sarri, as he managed to score just 11 times in 44 games in all competitions (via Transfermarkt),  giving him a strike rate of one in four.

Nevertheless, currently valued at £13.5 million on the market, the striker would still provide some experience in the North East and he has shown before that he has the goal-scoring touch.

At that kind of price, Higuain may turn out to be a bit of a gem if he makes the move to the Tyneside club.

Tottenham’s Eric Dier has been banned for four games after confronting a spectator during the FA Cup defeat to Norwich in March and he will now miss the clash with Arsenal at the weekend as a result.

According to ESPN, the Football Association have handed him a four-match ban after he leapt into the stands and started a fracas with a Spurs supporter who had directed insults at his brother, with security guards trying to break up the midfielder and spectator.

The Lilywhites will face the Gunners at home when one of the biggest rivalries in the country plays out again on Sunday. However, Spurs will have to go into the game without the services of Dier following his suspension, dealing a significant blow for Jose Mourinho’s plans.

The 26-year-old has played in every single minute since the Premier League restart as Tottenham bounced back from a disappointing defeat at Sheffield United by edging past Everton at home on Monday night.

After he conceded a penalty against Manchester United three weeks ago, Dier helped the defence to keep a clean sheet in the subsequent 2-0 win over West Ham and again on Monday night.

The England international, who was a favourite of Mauricio Pochettino, has played 18 Premier League games this season, supplying two assists, winning 1.2 tackles, averaging 1.1 interceptions and completing 3.1 clearances per game on average (via WhoScored).

Dier has never had it easy at Spurs, as he has been beset by multiple injuries, illness and mixed form over the years. However, he has established himself as a regular starter under Mourinho in recent weeks and has received high praise from the manager. He is currently valued at £18m via Transfermarkt.

The Lilywhites have leaked goals for fun all season long and now they will be without one of their most trusted players when they face the Gunners at home.

Mourinho will be well aware of the dangers posed by Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dier’s absence could be sorely felt as they prepare for the derby on Sunday.

According to Corriere dello Sport, AS Roma are very close to keeping Manchester United ace Chris Smalling in the summer, via @utdreport.   

The Italian newspaper claims Roma are only ‘one step away’ from signing Smalling on loan, which could become a permanent deal next year.

It seems likely Smalling will leave Old Trafford on loan again for another season and the Italians will be obliged to sign him permanently in 2021.

Although the defender’s first spell in Italy was brought to an abrupt halt as a result of the pandemic, he has still managed to play 20 games in Serie A this season (Transfermarkt).

Roma boss Paulo Foncesca has been impressed by the England international’s work ethic, as he has averaged 2 interceptions per game, completed 4.5 clearances on average, scored 2 goals, and created 1 assist so far (WhoScored).

In comparison, Phil Jones has struggled for form this season and the defender is now in a vulnerable position. It is worth pointing out Smalling has earned a higher WhoScored rating than his teammate at the time of writing.

After arriving at the Theatre of Dreams from Fulham for £7.2m in 2010, the 30-year-old has made over 300 appearances for the Red Devils, winning the Premier League twice, the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup. He is currently valued at £14.4m via Transfermarkt.

United initially priced the centre-back at €25m, which equates to £22m, but it appears Ed Woodward has lowered the asking price to somewhere in the region of €12m-€15m.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he is a fan of the veteran in the past, but Smalling wants to be playing regular football in order to improve his chances of being named in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad, and this is something the club legend cannot guarantee.

Indeed, Solskjaer has frequently used the pairing of captain Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof at the back this season, and it is hard to imagine the Englishman would be given a place in the starting lineup if he returned to Old Trafford.

Naturally, many United fans reacted to the transfer news on social media, with one supporter urging the board to “cash in ASAP,” and another adding “take Jones instead.”

Tottenham Hotspur fans want their club to snap up Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent basis in the January transfer window.

Spurs completed a deal to bring the Argentine into the club on an initial loan deal from Real Betis in the summer.

However, Spanish outlet Sevilla.ABC claimed over the weekend that it would cost Spurs €32m (£27.3m) to make the deal permanent when the winter window opens.

If they were to wait until the summer, however, it would cost €40m (£34.1m), leading to a belief in Spain that the deal will be done at the turn of the year.

Spurs are already reported to have paid €15m (£12.8m) to take Lo Celso on loan, a figure that has been banked by Betis.

Thus far, the 23-year-old has made just two starts in all competitions but he scored his first goal for the club in the 4-0 thumping of Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.

And fans are keen for him to be tied to the club on a permanent basis as soon as possible.

Following Wolves’ 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon, opposition manager Steve Bruce has given his thoughts on a key moment during the match.

In the second half, Matty Longstaff received his marching orders for a dangerous tackle on Ruben Neves, but the Newcastle United boss’ comments show a worrying lack of sympathy.

What’s he said?

A well-placed close-range finish from left wing-back Jonny ensured that Wolves returned to the west Midlands with at least a point after his goal cancelled out Jamaal Lascelles’ 37th-minute header.

Newcastle ended the match with ten men after Longstaff went in late on Neves with what was a completely unnecessary challenge seven minutes from time.

In his post-game press conference, Bruce said:

“The behaviour of Neves… when they’re rolling around like that, you know they’re not hurt. If you’re hurt, you just stay motionless.

“He’s not in control of his foot, but how is he supposed to be when he’s just played the ball?

“In that respect I think it’s harsh on the boy (Longstaff), I really, really do.”

Outrageously outlandish

Firstly, Bruce is right to defend one of the most inexperienced and youthful members of his squad as he will likely face some sort of backlash from such a reckless tackle – even more so if it had cost them the match entirely.

But his comments are far too extreme to the point where you’re questioning if he’s even seen the incident correctly.

The 19-year-old has gone into the challenge with his studs showing, and instead of trying to evade Neves’ entire leg completely, his boots roll up his thigh.

It could have quite easily been a leg-breaker.

The Portuguese midfielder was hardly rolling around either as you could audibly tell he was in a lot of pain, so Bruce is completely wrong on that front.

But to then go and say it was a harsh call… that’s simply outrageous. It was a horrible challenge.

وواصل: “لقد كانت حركة رائعة، اللعب من الخلف بثلاث أو أربع تمريرات، رغم أننا لم نفعل ذلك بشكل كاف الليلة، أنا سعيد من أجل كالافيوري، لأنه كان يبدأ ربع نهائي الدوري الأوروبي وقدم مساعدة حاسمة، إنه أمر رائع بالنسبة له”.

وعن فرص روما أمام مانشستر يونايتد وتكافؤ الفرص، أكد دجيكو: “إذا كنا في الدور نصف النهائي، فبالتأكيد يمكننا ذلك، من المؤكد أنه لم يكن طريقًا سهلاً، كانت مواجهات براجا وشاختار دونيتسك وأياكس صعبة”.

واستطرد: “الآن نواجه اسمًا كبيرًا آخر، لكن روما اسم كبير أيضًا، ويجب أن نبذل قصارى جهدنا للوصول إلى النهائي”.

لقد كان موسمًا صعبًا لدجيكو، الذي تم تجميده في يناير بعد خلاف مع المدرب فونسيكا وعاد للمشاركة بعد ذلك، لكنه جرد من شارة القائد.

واستكمل: “من الصعب التفكير في ذلك الآن، لدينا مباراة نصف نهائية قادمة والدوري الإيطالي أيضًا، لذلك سنرى في النهاية”.

وعن جلوسه بديلاً لفترة، أوضح دجيكو: “كان الأمر صعبًا عندما لعبت على أعلى مستوى، كان من الصعب قبول بعض الأشياء، لكنني كنت دائمًا قويًا عقليًا ولم أكن لأصل إلى هذا الحد لو كنت ضعيفًا”.

وأتم: “هذا ما جعلني أواجه هذا الموقف، الشيء المهم هو روما وليس شارة القيادة أو إدين دجيكو، وليس أي شخص”.
