A partida começou com o Avaí tentando pressionar o Botafogo e conseguindo muitos escanteios, mas a equipe não soube aproveitar e incomodar o gol de Gatito. E logo na primeira chance criada pelo Fogão, Alex Santana balançou as redes. Aos 18 minutos, o meia recebeu bom passe de João Paulo, clareou a jogada, arriscou de longe e acertou o cantinho direito de Vladimir. Sem chances para o goleiro.

POUCA INSPIRAÇÃO
​Dez minutos depois do gol, o Botafogo teve uma grande oportunidade para ampliar o placar. João Paulo lançou para Diego Souza, que foi atrapalhado por Betão, e finalizou muito fraco nas mão de Vladimir. O Avaí até tentou chegar ao empate, mas faltou inspiração para Pedro Castro, que chutou de fora da área por cima, e Gustavo Ferrareis, que cabeceou fraco em cima de Gatito.

QUE RETORNO!
​A volta para a segunda etapa foi melhor do que o esperado para o Botafogo. Logo aos quatro minutos, Marcelo Benevenuto balançou as redes novamente. O zagueiro aproveitou cruzamento de Marcinho em cobrança de falta e subiu que toda a defesa do Leão, completando de cabeça.

SOLIDEZ DEFENSIVA
A defesa carioca se comportou muito bem e não sofreu grandes sustos no restante do segundo tempo. O Leão ainda ficou com um jogador ao menos aos 35 minutos, quando André Moritz recebeu cartão vermelho por um pisão mais forte em Rodrigo Pimpão. No lance mais perigoso para os mandantes, Luan Pereira aproveitou sobra de bola em um cruzamento e chutou de primeira, mas Marcelo Benevenuto conseguiu cortar com o ombro, garantindo os três pontos no retorno para o Rio de Janeiro.

Australia rise to No. 1 in ODIs

Australia have climbed to the top of the ICC ODI team rankings, after their 3-0 series win against Pakistan, while India have fallen to third place.
The cancellation of the third ODI between India and West Indies in Visakhapatnam due to a cyclone means that India will not be able to regain the No.1 ranking at the end of the series, even if they win the last two ODIs. Australia have 114 points while India have 113 and victories in their next two matches will still leave India 0.02 rating points short of Australia
Australia had lost the top ranking following a loss to Zimbabwe in the triangular series earlier this year but have won four of their last five ODIs.

At the toss, George Bailey had said his team had still not played the ultimate game despite being 2-0 up in the series. Given the way they batted, it was certainly not the ultimate game Australia were after; they lost their way from 102 for 1 in the 22nd over to end up with only 231 on the board, on a batsmen-friendly pitch. But if there was anything close to ultimate game, it was the manner in which Australia’s bowlers turned the match around, especially in the last over – a double-wicket maiden from Glenn Maxwell when Pakistan needed just two to win, to complete the whitewash they were after.The eighth-wicket pair of Sohail Tanvir and Zulfiqar Babar had shown exemplary calmness under duress to chip away at the target. The batsmen survived a run-out chance – none of the Australian fielders seemed to appeal for a tight call – and added 22 runs with ease to bring the team to within two runs of a morale-boosting win. With the frontline bowlers having extinguished their quotas, and only a Maxwell over remaining, the win was finally within touching distance. But Tanvir swung at a full, straight delivery only to be bowled, then Mohammad Irfan struggled to make contact with the next three deliveries. When he finally made contact, off the last ball of the innings, he only managed a top edge that gave Australia their third ODI-series whitewash (minimum three matches) against Pakistan.It wasn’t a tough target given the conditions, but Pakistan’s batting had been brittle throughout the series. That they were made to use all their available resources, and time, to get close was down to how Australia bowled. Mitchell Starc proved to be the ideal replacement for Mitchell Johnson, while Kane Richardson generated pace to trouble the Pakistan batsmen. The slide though was triggered by Xavier Doherty, who forced Ahmed Shehzad to play an ill-advised cut and struck timber. The Pakistan openers had added 56, but just like the second ODI, one wicket brought a few more. Pakistan lost their next two wickets for 24 runs.There was another collapse later as Pakistan lost 3 for 20, but it had been preceded by an uplifting 74-run stand for the fourth wicket between Asad Shafiq and Sohaib Maqsood. However, once Afridi top-edged a pull off Richardson to be caught in the circle, Australia knew they were in with a chance. Umar Amin resisted, Anwar Ali played the odd jail-breaking shot, but no one survived to see the team through.Misbah-ul-Haq, who had chosen to sit out owing his poor form, watched in agony as one batsman followed another. Pakistan had made wholesale changes to the XI, but their batting was the same glass sail in high winds. This must have been particularly galling to the team management, considering the bowlers had shown tremendous discipline – there wasn’t a wide or a no-ball in the first 45 overs – to restrict Australia for a below-par total.Afridi was at the forefront of the effort, picking up the wickets of David Warner and Maxwell at crucial stages to slow Australia down. Others then joined in, sapping energy from Australia’s innings during the batting Powerplay, in which two wickets fell for the addition of only nine runs. Australia never recovered from the slump. Only four boundaries were struck in the last 20 overs.Given the start Australia had, the dip was remarkable. Aaron Finch was circumspect during his 34-ball 18 but David Warner had no such trouble; he continued making the most of his form, powering Australia’s start after they had opted to bat. Pakistan’s bowlers bowled tight lines, with Sohail Tanvir getting the ball to wobble both ways, but Warner was authoritative. Three times he found the gap through cover to deliveries that were not quite on a driving length. And when it was pitched up on the pads, he was quick to find boundaries on the other side. The partnership was broken when Finch mistimed a chip to mid-on in the 11th over. The 48-run opening stand was still Australia’s best in their last nine outings against Pakistan.Steven Smith, the only centurion in the series, started off with a couple of boundaries off Babar but stuck to picking up singles and doubles thereafter – Smith had to wait 85 balls for his third boundary. With the bowlers not giving much away and the field spread out, the boundaries were not easy to find. Only two more came during the Smith-Warner partnership, one of which was a six that took Warner to his half-century.The twist came soon after as Warner lobbed one back for Afridi to complete a simple caught and bowled. George Bailey was dismissed in the next over for a duck. Maxwell was reprising his Dubai effort before he was brilliantly caught on the leg side boundary by Umar Amin, off Afridi. The score was 138 for 4 at that stage, and even though Smith was around, the innings stalled. Smith completed his half-century in 68 balls, but was not able to raise the pace. His third boundary came off his 92nd delivery and there wasn’t one thereafter. But Smith’s half-century underscored the importance of staying in for long enough, an area where Pakistan again fell short.

O Verdão decidiu emprestar Artur, de 21 anos de idade, pela segunda vez – em 2017, ele foi para o Londrina e foi um dos destaques da equipe na Série B, quando deu dez assistências.

A boa campanha o fez ser reintegrado em 2018, mas a temporada no Palmeiras foi acidentada, com apenas nove partidas ao todo e duas cirurgias (uma por um entorse e outra por uma fratura no braço). Por ter jogado pouco, o atual campeão brasileiro preferiu dar mais minutos ao garoto em outra equipe, enquanto buscou no mercado jogadores para a posição.

O problema é que os dois não vingaram. Felipe Pires foi emprestado pelo Hoffenheim (ALE) até dezembro, começou o ano jogando com frequência, mas antes da pausa para a Copa América não vinha nem sendo relacionado. Foi cedido ao Fortaleza depois de 16 partidas e um gol marcado.

Carlos Eduardo segue no elenco, tem 15 jogos e também balançou as redes apenas uma vez, contra o São Paulo. Ele foi comprado pelo Palmeiras do Pyramids FC, do Egito, por R$ 23 milhões e convive com intensas críticas da torcida. Neste momento, recupera-se de caxumba, doença contraída na semana passada. Angulo, colombiano que estava no sub-20, foi contratado e promovido, entretanto não tem sido nem relacionado.

O futuro de Artur ainda não foi anunciado pelo Palmeiras, mas ele tem contrato com o Verdão até 2021.

يأمل تشافي هيرنانديز، المدير الفني لفريق برشلونة، جاهزية لاعبه فرينكي دي يونج، بالوقت المناسب للحاق بمباراة الكلاسيكو المرتقبة أمام ريال مدريد.

ويستقبل برشلونة غريمه ريال مدريد، يوم 28 أكتوبر الجاري، في مباراة الكلاسيكو بمنافسات الدوري الإسباني “الليجا”.

وتعرض دي يونج للإصابة في الكاحل الأيمن، وذلك خلال مشاركته في مباراة برشلونة وسيلتا فيجو، يوم 23 سبتمبر الماضي.

ولم يحدد برشلونة حينها مدة الغياب المتوقعة لدي يونج، موضحًا أن عملية تعافيه ستحدد موعد عودته.

وبحسب ما أفادت صحيفة “موندو ديبورتيفو” الإسبانية، تظل مشاركة دي يونج معقدة للغاية ولن يخاطر تشافي بلاعبه الهولندي.

O duelo

Sem sofrer nenhum tipo de incômodo do adversário, o Paysandu começou o jogo no ataque. O prêmio veio aos 17, quando Caíque Oliveira aproveitou a cobrança de escanteio e abriu o marcador.

O gol obrigou o LEC a sair da defesa, mas o time parecia pouco inspirado e não conseguia entrar de fato na grande área paraense.

Disposto a decidir o jogo, com menos de um minuto o Papão ampliou. Tomas Bastos cobrou falta com perfeição e marcou um lindo tento, 2 a 0.

A resposta do time da casa veio aos 3 minutos através de Tozin. A Luverdense ainda buscou o empate, criou ótimas oportunidades, porém não conseguiu mandar para dentro do gol.

Quando a igualdade parecia questão de tempo, o Paysandu deu o golpe fatal. No cruzamento de Nicolas, Tomas Bastos acertou uma linda cabeçada e deu números finais ao jogo, 3 a 1.

وأكد محمد غرابة مدير منتخب مصر، أن الفريق سيواصل تدريباته، غدًا السبت، استعدادًا للمباراة الودية أمام الجزائر.

ويلتقي منتخب مصر مع الجزائر، على ملعب هزاع بن زايد، يوم الإثنين المُقبل، على استاد هزاع بن زايد بمدينة العين.

There was a phase in Sachin Tendulkar’s 24-year international career when he felt so “scarred” and “devastated” by the Indian team’s ineptitude under his captaincy that he wanted to completely move away from the sport.In his autobiography , to be released on November 6, Tendulkar has dwelled on the frustrations he faced during his tenure as captain. He led India in 25 Tests between 1996 and 2000 – losing nine, winning four and drawing 12 matches.”I hated losing and as captain of the team I felt responsible for the string of miserable performances. More worryingly, I did not know how I could turn it around, as I was already trying my absolute best,” Tendulkar writes in the book. “I confided in Anjali (his wife) that I feared there was nothing more that I could do to stem the tide of defeats. Losing a string of very close matches had left me badly scarred. I had given it everything and was not sure that I could give even 0.1 per cent more.”It was hurting me badly and it took me a long time to come to terms with these failures. I even contemplated moving away from the sport completely, as it seemed nothing was going my way.”Tendulkar specifically mentions the tour of West Indies in 1997 as a low point of his leadership. After drawing the first two Tests, India needed to score only 120 in the fourth innings in Barbados to win the third match but were dismissed for 81.”Monday, 31 March 1997, was a dark day in the history of Indian cricket and definitely the worst of my captaincy career,” Tendulkar writes. “And yet it had promised so much. In fact, over dinner at a restaurant in St Lawrence Gap in Barbados the night before, I remember having a joke with the waiter, who was predicting a West Indian win. He was confident that Ambrose would bounce India out the next morning.”Now, in the first innings of this match, Franklyn Rose had bowled me a bouncer and I had pulled him into the stands for six. So I reminded the waiter of the shot and jokingly said to him that if Ambrose tried to bowl me a bouncer, I would hit him all the way to Antigua.”I was so confident of our chances that I pointed to the fridge and said he should immediately chill a bottle of champagne and I would come and open it the next day and pour him a glass to celebrate winning the match. Instead, we collapsed for a miserable 81 all out, handing West Indies a 38-run victory. Frankly, there can be no excuses for such a poor batting effort, even though it was a difficult track. I certainly don’t want to point fingers at anyone for the defeat, as that’s not my way. In any case, I was part of that team and as captain it was my responsibility to steer us to victory. I did not get the feeling that we were over-confident, yet none of the batsmen apart from Laxman even reached double figures in the second innings and it was one of the worst batting displays I have been part of.”I myself got out for just four. In my anxiety to get a feel for the ball I got a tentative edge. I should either have left the ball alone or tried to counter-attack. The defeat left me totally devastated and I shut myself in my room for two whole days trying to come to terms with the loss. I still feel the pangs of that defeat when I look back at the series.”

وتابع: “دائمًا ما تجد مو في المواقف الحاسمة سواء صناعة هدف أو تسجيل آخر، لا أعتقد أن هناك مركز خطورة أكثر من محمد صلاح في ليفربول”.

وأضاف: “عندما تحتاجه تجده خاصة في الهجمات المرتدة، عندما تريد لاعبًا يتميز بالسرعة، رغم تقدمه في العمر”.

واستمر: “ربما كان آرسين فينجر يفضل اللاعبين في سن أصغر، لكن هناك لاعبين مثل محمد صلاح تحتاج إلى خبرتهم في هذا العمر وهو قادر على اللعب لعدد دقائق كثيرة”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “لقد قام بعمل رائع مع ليفربول هذا الموسم، وصل إلى 200 هدف، وهذا الرقم يدل على أنه جناح يقوم بأشياء مذهلة أوصلته لتلك الأرقام التي تتحدث عنه”.

وأتم: “كمهاجم سابق، لقد عفا علينا الزمن بسبب الأجنحة فهم يقومون بكل شيء، تسجيل الأهداف، خلق الفرص، فلم يعد المهاجمين القوة الأمامية التي يعتمد عليها كل فريق”.

Manoj Tiwary made his India debut in February 2008. In close to seven years, he has been given nine ODIs, but even those have been limited to an odd game or two in a series. Forget a full series, he has never played three successive matches.He would understandably become stressed at the lack of opportunities, but has stopped doing that now, he says. Tiwary no longer worries about India selection when he walks out to bat. He feels he has matured as a person and that it has brought more consistency, as reflected in two centuries and two fifties in his last four List-A innings, the latest being a match-winning 151 off 121 against North Zone in the Deodhar Trophy semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium.”To be honest with you, I don’t carry excess luggage while I go in to bat. Earlier I used to carry lot of baggage,” Tiwary said. “I used to think about other people who are watching, I have to impress them, I have to play on the up, I have to play lofted shots like others but over a period of time I have realised what is my game and tried to improve on that. That helped me a lot. I have become more consistent now. No added pressure. I just go out there, watch the ball and play my game.”In the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy final, Tiwary had made a second-innings 94 against Mumbai at the same Wankhede Stadium in the company of Sourav Ganguly, who scored 90. Tiwary said the difference between him then and now was that he had toned down his aggression.”Earlier I used to be very aggressive, now I have calmed down a bit. Earlier I used to be very short-tempered. I used to get upset about a lot of things, cricket as well as off the field. Earlier I used to throw away my wicket in the middle phase.”But as you grow older you tend to become more mature, that helped me in my batting as well. I know my game really better than before. The injuries that happened to me also gave me a lot of time to think about my game as a cricketer and also as a person.”Tiwary credited his family for the change in his personality and his game. “I spent a lot of time with myself and my family members have helped me a lot during my injury phase, made me realise what you have to do next, think about yourself, your game. Earlier I used to watch a lot of motivational videos as you all know. That also helped me a lot.”He may not fret over India selection like he used to but he hopes for another chance with the national team, and a decent run. “I hope and I believe that I will get an opportunity and when I get an opportunity, I think it will be a longer rope I guess. I am just hoping and hoping that I get into the team again.”Whoever is there in the team have also done really well for themselves and have performed at the given stages of their careers. It is very difficult to get into the team nowadays. Everybody scores runs. I wish I could play a lot of matches on wickets provided here, and in Rajkot.”

Vasco e Flamengo foram denunciados no Artigo 213 do Código Brasileiro de Justiça Desportiva (CBJD), que fala em “lançamento de objetos no campo ou local da disputa do evento desportivo” e prevê multa de R$ 100 a R$ 100 mil.

Além dos clubes, quem corre o risco de ser multado é o atacante Gabriel Barbosa, que comemorou um dos gols da vitória por 4 a 1 sobre o Vasco. O camisa 9 celebrou com um cartaz que pegou da torcida, em mãos, com os dizeres: “Hoje tem gol do Gabi gol”. A multa prevista é R$ 100 a R$ 100 mil.

O árbitro Leandro Pereira Vuaden (RS), que apitou o clássico no Estádio Mané Garrincha, relatou os acontecimentos em súmula. Confira, na íntegra, abaixo.

“Após a marcação do segundo gol da equipe do Flamengo foi arremessado um saco de pipoca para dentro do campo de jogo, (linha central) vindo do anel inferior localizado atrás do banco de reservas, onde se encontrava a torcida mista. Informo que o referido objeto não atingiu ninguém e não foi identificado o referido torcedor pelo órgãocompetente.

Em tempo ainda informo que o atleta nº 09, Sr. Gabriel Almeida, durante a sua comemoração pegou um cartaz com um torcedor com os seguintes dizeres; “hoje tem gol do gabi gol”. O fato ocorreu próximo a bandeira de escanteio do lado do local de atuação do assistente nº 2. Também informo que durante o fato acima foi arremessado um objeto por um torcedor não identificado um cavalinho de pelúcia com as cores do C.R. Flamengo, este objeto não atingiu ninguém. Era o que tinha para relatar.”
